Construction
Built from Cabinet-Grade Materials
Every wood range hood is made from cabinet-grade plywood with a white maple veneer. The proprietary two-piece construction allows for easy installation, simple cleaning, and easy access to the fan and ducting.
Brass and steel accents are created using a cabinet-grade laminate adhered to a white maple veneer. The laminate is mounted to the front face of the wood trim beneath it, with the front laminate overlapping the side pieces to avoid any exposed laminate edges on the front face of the hood.
All wood hoods are produced with a horizontal grain direction.

Ventilation
Ventilation Compatibility
Our wood hoods are compatible with a range of ventilation inserts. To determine if your insert will fit, check the interior dimensions of the hood against your insert's specifications.
- Confirm interior width and depth accommodate your insert
- Apron height is 8-1/4″ — verify your insert height
- Trimless style hoods require compatible ventilation units
- Make-up air may be required for units over 400 CFM — consult your HVAC technician
Trim Options
Customizable Trim
All hoods include 3/4″ thick trim. You can choose to remove the side trim or all trim for a trimless look — the trim is still provided precut and ready to install if you change your mind.

Installation
Professional Installation Recommended
We recommend using a licensed electrician and/or HVAC contractor, along with a cabinet installation professional, to assist with installation. Ensure you are meeting all building codes in your area — in some regions, make-up air may be required for ventilation units over 400 CFM.
While installation is not difficult, it requires electrical, ventilation, and finish carpentry skills. You may need to cut, sand, chisel, remove internal ribs, install supports, and perform other basic woodworking functions to complete the installation.
